Grey sponge sculpture
€344
How can we bring value to an ordinary material not usually seen as beautiful?
Sponge goes from furniture waste and brought to the ceramics context, treated as a refined and delicate material. It is wrapped in ceramic structures, based on craft techniques like basketry or weaving - enhancing its beauty and bringing it a new value.
The vase shape is defined by the foam, becoming the form itself - being reminiscent of this cultural symbol, but getting its own language and identity.
