Footloose
Emma Moro’s series Mono Tipos are original prints that explore self-perception and subconscious identity through the monotype technique. The vibrant, distorted characters that emerge represent the artist’s self-image, influenced by body dysmorphia. Their exaggerated forms and multiple limbs symbolize a twin brother, with whom the artist has not spoken for years, yet remains deeply embedded in their subconscious. The work reflects the dual nature of twin identity, where shared and individual selves merge in the mind, revealing the complex relationship between body and identity.
