A-line is a brand of women's clothing that challenges conventions to create the perfect fit for 21st century women. Simplicity and sophistication - the synergy results in unlikely forms that complement the female body.
The brand's designs are a reflection of what the A-Line woman represents - elegance, maturity and confidence. Designing the perfect shirt and sharing it with women everywhere was Alexandra Carneiro's wish. Complete and passionate about details, A-Line's creative director has synchronized her sense of taste and her 20 years of experience in the textile industry to reinvent the essentials of a woman's wardrobe.
The inspiration was awakened by women for whom comfort and distinction come first, anytime and anywhere. A- Line selects natural and delicate materials, such as cotton and silk, to create shirts that are easy to use, functional and of high quality. Available in neutral tones and pastel colors, the wow factor of the design is its fit, softness and attention to detail. Her mother being a dressmaker, Alexandra Carneiro grew up around thread, sewing patterns and fabrics. This also meant that high quality standards and attention to detail were the norm for her. And when playing as a child, she would already turn the hems for flawless, perfect seams on the dresses, shirts and skirts in which she dressed her dolls.
In those days, garments were tailored and intended to harden time. Her personality would translate into the unique pieces she wore, standing out for her impeccable taste and sophistication. All of these characteristics have led her path and her career into the creative areas. When she was only 18, she started working in a textile company, her first learning experience in the industry. It didn't take long for her to open her first business and, little by little, she built a loyal portfolio of clients throughout Europe. In 2015, a lifelong dream came true - she set up her own workshop, where she still develops clothes for international brands.
Benefiting from a career of over 20 years in the textile industry, she came to realize something. There is a segment of women who seek, without success, elegant and comfortable pieces, adaptable and suitable for any time of the day, and who end up opting for things that are not really what they had in mind in the first place. Since Line A is composed of women who dress other women, they have a real vision of the mosaic of roles they take on every day. And they know that it's not body size that measures women, but their mentality and aspirations, which keep us going all day, every day. All their decisions are focused on the longevity of the pieces, using long-lasting fabrics and accessories, ensuring that the product cycle is expanded. With this effort, they help reshape the way the consumer connects to fashion.
Every decision they make is a symbol of their commitment to defining the future of fashion. From never using leather or furs and opening up new, alternative pioneering materials, to using cutting-edge technologies, moving toward circularity, protecting old and endangered forests, and measuring their impact with innovative tools.
